Gideon Student Wins Pittsburgh Shakespeare Contest

Posted on

Every year, some students at Gideon Study Center decide to “brush up their Shakespeare” and compete at the annual Pittsburgh Public Theater Shakespeare Monologue & Scene Contest.  Shay Freund, a grammar level student attending Gideon Study Center, managed to perform his way to finals and win the Lower Division, Monologue.  He portrayed Flute as Thisbe lamenting her beloved Pyramus’s death.  A mop stood in as the sweetheart’s corpse.

We congratulate all of our students who competed, especially Shay, for their hard work and performances.  Well done!
