Festina Lente Make Haste SlowlyDr. Christopher Perrin drills down on each of the 8 Essential Principles of Classical  Pedagogy beginning  with Festina Lente: Make Haste Slowly. It carries the idea it is better to master each step rather than rushing through and skimming the top and missing the richness of the process.

You are invited to join us at our Open Houses for families interested in learning more about Gideon Study Center, a Christian classical tutorial service in the South Hills for students in grades 2-12.

Interested families will have the opportunity to:

  • meet tutors and members of the Board of Directors
  • hear testimonials from parents
  • handle the curriculum and learn more about our academic plans for the 2015-2016 school year
  • tour the facility
  • see our classes in operation (only daytime Open Houses)

Open House dates are as follows:

  • Thursday, March 19th, 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
  • Tuesday evening, March 24th, 7:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m.

Please respond to if you would like to attend one of the Open Houses or if you have any questions.  Please note, if you are unable to attend either of our dates, but would like to observe classes in progress, we are very willing to make arrangements on another day.

Course offerings for the coming year can be accessed here.

The enrollment period for new families opens March 15th.  Applications will be accepted on and after that date.

In the meantime, we invite you to browse through our website to learn more about classical education, classical study centers, and the founding of Gideon.
